Step 1 – Go to the Correct Website

You’ll see a big blue button that says “Claim My Account” right under the login boxes. Click it.

Start typing your school or district name.
Example: If you go to Leesville Road High School, type “Wake” and then select “Wake County Schools” first, then your specific school if it asks.

Step 5 – Enter Your UID and DOB

  • UID = your 10-digit number only (no letters, no dashes)
    Example: 1234567890
  • Birthday = exactly how it’s in PowerSchool (usually MM/DD/YYYY)

If it says “No match found,” stop here and go to step 11 (Common Mistakes) before you lock yourself out.

Step 6 – Create Your Username

You get to choose your own username! This will be permanent.

Most popular formats that work:

  • firstname.lastname (sarah.johnson)
  • firstinitial + last name (sjohnson)
  • first name + last 4 digits of UID (sarah7890)
  • student ID number only (1234567890 – this always works)

Rules:

  • 3–20 characters
  • Letters, numbers, periods, underscores, hyphens only
  • Cannot start or end with a period

Must be at least 8 characters and include:

  • One uppercase
  • One lowercase
