Welcome to NCED-Cloud.com. Before you keep reading our guides or watching our videos, please take a minute to read this page. We’ve written it in plain English because we want you to actually understand it — not just click “I agree” and forget about it.
1. This Website Is for Information and Help Only
Everything you find here — the step-by-step tutorials, screenshots, videos, tips, and tricks — is created to help students, parents, and teachers use NCEDCloud more easily. That’s it. It’s meant to be a friendly, clear resource written by real people who use the system every single day. Nothing on this site should be taken as official instructions, technical support, or formal guidance from any school or government agency.
2. We Are 100% Independent and Not Official
NCED-Cloud.com is not an official website of the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI), Identity Automation, RapidIdentity, PowerSchool, Canvas, Google Workspace, NCEducation, or any school district, county, or state agency.
We have no special access to the NCEDCloud system, we cannot see your account, we cannot reset your password for you, and we are not part of any government or school IT department. We’re just North Carolina parents, teachers, and one very patient IT spouse who got tired of seeing everyone struggle with the same login problems year after year.
If you need official help, please contact your school’s technology department or the NCDPI Home Base support team directly. We’ll even give you their real phone numbers and emails on several of our pages because we want you to get the right help when you need it.
3. We Work Hard to Be Accurate — But Things Change
We update our guides constantly. Seriously — sometimes multiple times in the same week when RapidIdentity rolls out a new button or the state changes the password rules again. We test every single step on real devices before we publish anything.
That said, technology changes fast, and occasionally something on our site might be slightly out of date by the time you read it. If you ever spot something that doesn’t match what you’re seeing on your screen, please email us at contact@NCED-Cloud.com and we’ll fix it the same day (or that night after the kids are asleep). We’ve fixed guides at 11:47 p.m. because a teacher wrote and said the “Continue” button moved — and we’re okay with that.
4. Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site, we link directly to official pages — the real NCEDCloud login page (iam.ncedcloud.org), the NCDPI help desk, your district’s technology page, PowerSchool parent portal, Canvas login, etc. We also sometimes link to helpful YouTube videos made by schools or teachers.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external sites. If a link stops working or takes you somewhere strange, let us know and we’ll remove or update it right away.
5. This Is Not Official Technical Support
We can walk you through every click and show you exactly where to type your username, but we cannot log in as you, change your password in the system, or fix problems inside your school’s network. That kind of help has to come from your school or district IT team, and we’ll always tell you exactly who to call when that’s the case.
6. Limitation of Liability
We truly care about helping you, but we have to say this clearly: NCED-Cloud.com, its creators, and contributors are not responsible for any problems, losses, missed assignments, late grades, or frustration that might happen (or keep happening) while using our guides or the NCEDCloud system itself.
If following one of our tutorials doesn’t work, or if something goes wrong with your account, we’re genuinely sorry — and we’ll do everything we can to help you fix it — but we can’t be held legally or financially responsible.
7. By Using This Website, You Agree
Simply by browsing NCED-Cloud.com, reading our guides, or watching our videos, you acknowledge that you’ve read and understood this disclaimer.
8. We May Update This Page
If we ever need to change anything here (new laws, new features in RapidIdentity, or we just find a clearer way to say something), we’ll update this page without sending out a newsletter or announcement. The most current version will always be the one you see here.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We know disclaimers aren’t fun, but we want to be completely honest with you about who we are and what we can (and can’t) do.
Now go ahead — close this tab and get back to whatever login crisis brought you here in the first place. We’ve got your back.
With appreciation,
The NCED-Cloud.com Team
(Just a handful of North Carolina parents and teachers who really, really wish this website had existed when we were figuring it all out for the first time)
